About Balnarring Driving Range
Bringing premium golf practice to the Mornington Peninsula
Our Story
The Vision
A passion project years in the making.
We have lived on the Mornington Peninsula for over 30 years. We've raised our family here, built businesses here, and played more rounds of golf on Peninsula courses than we can count. But one thing always stood out — if you wanted to work on your game at a proper driving range, you had to drive all the way to Frankston or beyond. For a region with thousands of golfers and a lifestyle built around the outdoors, it never made sense that no dedicated range existed south of Frankston.
That gap is what sparked the idea for Balnarring Driving Range. We found a beautiful 50-acre property in the heart of Balnarring, and the vision came together quickly — a purpose-built, all-weather facility set in a stunning rural landscape, with a licensed cafe, community programs, and a welcoming atmosphere for golfers of every level. The response from the local community has been overwhelmingly positive. Every conversation reinforces what we already knew: people want this, and they want it here.
Our vision goes beyond a place to hit balls. We want Balnarring Driving Range to become part of the fabric of Peninsula life — a destination where juniors pick up the game for the first time, retirees sharpen their short game over a morning coffee, and families enjoy a relaxed afternoon together. We see it fitting naturally alongside the wineries, the beaches, and the local sporting clubs that make this part of the world special. Five years from now, we want people to wonder how the Peninsula ever managed without it.
The Facility
What We're Building
A purpose-built driving range and social hub designed around the golfer experience.

Hitting Bays
Sixteen covered hitting bays with premium synthetic turf mats, power-adjusted lighting for twilight sessions, and clear sight-lines across the 300-metre range. Each bay comfortably accommodates a golfer and a coach, making it the ideal space for lessons and practice.

Clubhouse & Cafe
Our purpose-built clubhouse features a fully licensed cafe and bar serving locally roasted coffee, fresh food, and a curated selection of Mornington Peninsula wines and craft beers. Relax on the viewing deck overlooking the range or browse a boutique retail area for equipment and apparel.

The Grounds
Set on picturesque farmland in the heart of Balnarring, the grounds offer sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. A dedicated short-game practice green, on-site parking, and landscaped pathways make the entire experience comfortable and welcoming for golfers of every level.
